Recently I started to think about the importance of boater education. Having worked on the water for the past three summers, it became very clear how many boaters there were on the water that didn't know the basic "rules of the road" and other very important regulations that promote safe boating.
At this time, most states require a license of some kind, most states only require one of you were born after a certain date. The boating license courses and tests are just meant to cover the basics, when in most cases, the basics simply isn't enough.
The only states who do not require a boating license are Alaska, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Maine, South Dakota, and Wyoming.
I have created this quick survey to see how much other boaters know about the basics of boating. Please take a moment and participate. Later I will share the results of survey with all of my followers.
