Game Changing Outboard - Seven Marine 557

Though they have been around in the industry for a few years, their product is starting to come out at various boat shows throughout the country.  I'm talking about Seven Marine, a company that is taking a giant leap into the super-sized outboards.  Currently they only have one model, a 557 horsepower V8.

In the past, major offshore boats that needed lots of outboard power would have to be rigged with sometimes up to 5 engines, adding unneeded extra weight and cost to operating the boat.  Seven Marine wanted a simple solution for these boaters and they accomplished it by creating this engine.  Surprisingly, the power is not a new technology.  Seven Marine teamed up with General Motors and was able to use their supercharged LSA V8 engine, the engine found in the Cadillac CTS-V and Camaro ZL1.  This is the first time this all aluminum, small block V8 has been brought to the marine market.
