Why Catamarans Can Handle Better in Close Quarters

Most people either love catamarans or hate catamarans.  I'm not going to attest to either loving or hating because just like every boat, they all have their quirks.  The can do some things better than mono-hulls and they can lack in some places compared to mono-hulls.

One place that they do accel in compared to mono-hulls is their close quarter handling.  With the twin engines placed a greater distance apart than that of mono-hulls, they can have more leverage when pushing or pulling the boat.

Just something to think about next time you are in the market to buy a boat.  Take one for a sea-trial, you never know, you may love it.
