Have you ever noticed how sometimes the water can change colors depending on the depth? I found this nifty little saying that can help boaters remember what different colors of water mean.
Brown brown, run aground
White white, you might
Green green, nice and clean
Blue blue, run right through
This can work most of the time but if you are in a body of water that has a constantly stained color, it may be more difficult to determine the depths based on the saying.
