Have you ever noticed how much happier people seem to be when they are on a boat? A recent survey done by BoatUS asked how many people wave to other boaters while on the water. For those who do not know, a simple wave is one of the most meaningful things you can do to communicate to other boaters, it shows a sense of friendship. Lets face it, we all have to be friends while on the water. If something happens the first person that is going to come to your rescue is another boater. We all have to be able to rely on each other for simple things.
BoatUS surveyed half a million people that owned and used their boats for recreational purposes. When asked if they waved, 99.4% responded yes.
Next time you are on the water, be sure to wave to your fellow boaters, you never know when you may need them.
